In 1975, the Seongsim Women's University from Chuncheon built a campus in Yeokgok-dong, Wonmi-gu, Bucheon, and then closed this campus in Chuncheon on March 1982 to integrate it with the Bucheon campus. On March 1, 1995, the Seongsim Women's University was integrated with the Catholic University to become the Seongsim District Campus of the Catholic University of Korea. As a private university the emphasizes the humanities, natural science and arts, this school offers a cultivation program for talented students to help them become global leaders and provides various internationalization programs including overseas field studies by establishing exchange student agreements with 47 schools in 12 countries. Its affiliation hospital, Catholic University Bucheon Sungka Hospital, provides medical services including free diagnosis for low-income groups, health classes to improve residents’ health and hygiene, and disease prevention.

This private technical college was established by Dr. Yu Il-han in 1978. Centering on departments such as machinery, machinery design, electrics, and industrial design, it trains veteran professionals who can contribute to a better industrial society and supports the overall start of enterprise, commercialization of advanced technology through consultation, new product development, etc. The college carries out industry and academia cooperation system, inspired by its mission statement of "Be a free man who works for work peace." The annual school festival (Yuhan EXPO) also provides a platform in which the region, SMEs, and industrial high schools get together to have fun, exhibit, show the return of corporate profits to the community, and demonstrate the spirit of industry-academia cooperation.

This private technical college was established in 1979 by Mongdang Han Hang-gil, an established educator and leader of the National Independence Movement. With the goal of cultivating creative technicians who serve the nation and society, the school offers 14 departments including architecture, textile, electronics, food and dietetics, etc. It is committed to industrial-academia cooperation, and has thus sealed an official work agreement in May 2008 between the Korean Industrial Complex, Bucheon University, and Bucheon city to sharpen the city’s industrial competitive edge.

Seoul Theological University was initially founded as a bible study institute in Mugyo-dong, Seoul. A campus has been constructed in Sosabon-dong, Sosa-gu, Bucheon City and then moved to its current location on September 25, 1974. It is an evangelical education institute that trains religious workers and leaders, and has 9 departments to prepare professional religious leaders in theology, church music, missionary English, etc.
